San Pedro is ideal for sailing. The major port on the Pacific Coast, San Pedro has everything the sailing enthusiast may want or need. Marinas, fuel docks, marine equipment and supply stores, chanderlies, dry docks, and repair facilities are all available and are capable of handling any size vessel. Boats and yachts are available for charter.

It is the essential port of call for anyone cruising the Eastern Pacific or West Coast.

There is a boat ramp at Cabrillo Beach on Stephen White Drive where you can launch your own boat. It is open from 7:00 AM to Sunset and has trailer parking, boat wash facilities and restrooms. The beach is run by the County of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. The boat ramp is run by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.
